Vagabond Empire is an expansive new solo project for acoustic guitar, banjo, vocals, and whatever other sounds -- and guest players -- find their way into the mix.
The music digs deep into 100+ years of American roots traditions, from Tin Pan Alley and early jazz, to swing, folk, blues, bluegrass, classic country, honkytonk, soulful rock, and more.
Born from the ashes of critically acclaimed "bluevelvetgrass" string band Three Times Bad, Vagabond Empire's genre-expansive set list combines Americana classics with dynamic originals from four song collections: Singalongs for End Times, After the Plague, American Sojourn, and These Old Songs.
